While the majority of plastic surgery procedures in Las Vegas are performed for women, an increasing number of men are appreciating the benefits of surgical enhancement. In fact, when it comes to liposuction, almost 33,000 American men chose to have this body contouring procedure in 2007.

This patient, like many men, was concerned about the "love handles" that had formed on his sides. These excess deposits of fat are anything but loveable, and if you pick up practically any men's magazine, you'll quickly learn that they are one of the most stubborn, diet-resistant areas of fat on the body.

During his private consultation with Las Vegas plastic surgeon Dr. Arthur Cambeiro, this patient also wanted to learn about slimming down his abdominal area. As can be seen in the "before" pictures, he was in fairly good shape overall but was having a hard time trimming down his stomach area. After reviewing his case, Dr. Cambeiro recommended liposuction of the abdominal region and the flanks.

The patient's procedure was performed on an outpatient basis, and he was able to head home just a few short hours after surgery was completed. As with most Las Vegas liposuction patients, he had very little discomfort and no serious complications following the procedure. The small incisions required to insert the liposuction cannula healed nicely with practically no visible scarring.
