- This type of incision has been used for many years to perform breast augmentations, and the dark skin of the areola conceals any scars.
- This incision may have a higher likelihood of interfering with breast-feeding as well as change in nipple sensation than the other incision placements.
- The Inframammary Crease Incision
- The inframammary crease incision is made in the natural crease where the underside of the breast meets the chest.
- Not all patients are good candidates for the inframammary crease incision because it requires a certain amount of natural breast tissue to sufficiently conceal the incision.
