How long does recovery take?
Most patients can return to work within 5 to 7 days. You’ll need to wear a special sports bra for the first six weeks. Around the 6-week mark, the swelling will have gone down and your fuller breasts will feel softer and look more natural.
How much does it cost?
Breast augmentation procedures at this practice range from $4,600 to $6,000. This price will vary based on the amount of surgical time, anesthesia fees, type of breast implants, and whether I perform other procedures during the surgery. Saline implants are the most affordable, while cohesive silicone implants (also known as gummy bear implants) cost more. Read more about the differences between saline and silicone. We also offer simple financing options.
What happens during the procedure?
The procedure typically takes 1 to 2 hours to complete and patients can return home the day after surgery. I’m accompanied by a board-certified anesthesiologist to ensure your safety.
First, I make small incisions in the breast crease, around the nipple, or in the armpit. I then create a space (called a pocket) for each breast implant. I usually place the breast implants behind the chest muscle (submuscular placement). If the patient has enough breast tissue to cover the implants, I’ll consider placing them on top of the chest muscle (subglandular placement).
After inserting each implant and ensuring that the breast size and shape are just right, I close the incisions with dissolvable sutures and seal them with surgical tape.
Am I a good candidate for breast augmentation?
The ideal breast augmentation candidates are healthy, adult women with realistic expectations who want to improve their appearance and self-confidence. This is not a procedure to make someone else happy; it’s solely your choice.
Why do patients choose you over other surgeons?
Patients choose me because of my personalized care for every patient. I sit down with them and discuss all the options, along with the pros and cons, and pick the approach that is most suitable to their needs. I receive a lot of word-of-mouth referrals from women who are extremely happy with their experience and results.
Can you perform breast augmentation without scars?
I perform endoscopic breast augmentation (read more about the differences between incision placements) for most women who want to avoid a scar on the breast. For this technique, I use only saline breast implants because they are filled after they are inserted. I make a tiny incision in the natural crease of the armpit and perform the surgery guided by a tiny camera with a light attached called an endoscope. I have performed hundreds of these procedures with consistently beautiful results, which you can view in our photo gallery.
