Awarded by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. (CCML), the annual designation begins with suggestions submitted by medical professionals. Each year, CCML request nominations from hundreds of thousands of American physicians and health care professionals. Nominators complete extensive surveys to select and rate the top physicians in each specialty both regionally and nationally.

Headed by physicians, CCML’s research team then culls the designees from the survey results. Criteria include nominees’ medical schooling and training, professional accomplishments and administrative positions held.

In addition to his outstanding credentials, Dr. Cambeiro has provided his surgical services internationally in Honduras and Vietnam, and he was recently appointed to the exclusive National Advisory Council for Leaders in Breast Aesthetics.
