This 31 year old mother was considering plastic surgery in Las Vegas after her pregnancy left her with an unflattering mid-body shape and caused her breast to lose size and contour. Dr. Cambiero reviewed her case during a private consultation and concluded that she would be a perfect candidate for a "Mommy Makeover," which usually combines abdominoplasty with other cosmetic surgery procedures to help a woman regain the look she enjoyed before starting her family.

Because she had loose muscles and stretched skin on her abdomen, liposuction alone would not be able to create the firmer, slimmer shape she desired. Instead, Dr. Cambeiro performed an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) to tighten the muscles that had been stretched out during pregnancy and had not returned to form. He also performed liposuction on the belly to remove pockets of fat in the area, and removed additional fat cells in the "love handle" region.

To address the loss of breast volume this patient experienced, Dr. Cambeiro placed 450 cc silicone gel implants. Using an inframammary incision underneath each breast, the implants were positioned submuscularly. Dr. Cambeiro most often uses this placement location because it creates a natural-looking breast shape and there is some evidence that it reduces the risk of capsular contracture (scar tissue constricting the breast implant). With the implants, she went from a B cup to a full D.
