Achieving a Natural Look with Breast Implants

Selecting breast implants is an exciting part of the breast augmentation process at my Las Vegas practice. There are many options available in terms of shape, filling, size, and profile. During your initial consultation, we’ll talk over your expectations and desired look. I’ll also give my professional recommendation in accordance with the implants that best suit your body type, lifestyle, and goals.

Frequently, women with a naturally smaller breast size, whether as result of weight loss, natural proportions, the aging process, or breastfeeding, are seeking natural-looking breast enhancement. If you want a subtle look but currently have smaller breasts, here’s what to expect and what to ask about during your consultation and procedure.

Questions to ask your prospective surgeon:

  • Can I see before and after photos of results similar to those I’m looking to achieve?
  • Are you certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery?
  • Does the doctor have admitting and plastic surgery hospital privileges?
  • Does the doctor use a board-certified anesthesiologist?
  • Is the operation performed in an accredited facility?

I provide a full list of questions to ask your prospective plastic surgeon on my website.

Deciding implant size

The breast implant size that will work best for you depends on several factors, including the amount of breast tissue you already have, the width of your chest, the elasticity of your breast skin, and the results you wish to achieve. Feel free to bring in pictures as examples of your desired outcome, or take a look at our photo gallery. There, you can see my patients’ before-and-after saline implant photos and before-and-after silicone implant photos.

A common worry for clients is going “too big.” I use my years of experience and extensive training to help you achieve the natural look you want. You will also try on implant sizers during the consultation. We recommend bringing a solid-colored, fitted shirt for this part of the process.

Deciding implant type

Size isn’t the only factor that determines how natural your breast implants will look and feel. The implant’s shape, profile, placement, and composition matter, too. You can learn more about silicone implants, what they’re made of, and how their shape, size, and profile can transform your silhouette in this related blog post.

What to expect after surgery

You will likely be able to return to work within five to seven days. Keep in mind that every body heals differently, and if you had any other surgeries performed at the time of breast augmentation, such as a tummy tuck or breast lift, recovery may be longer. You can see a complete breast augmentation recovery timeline on my site.

I am happy to talk with you about your own breast augmentation goals and discuss the type of implants that will best suit your shape. You can request a breast augmentation consultation using our online form, or call my office at (702) 734-8100 (Las Vegas) or (702) 566-8300 (Henderson) to schedule an appointment.
