Male Chest Reduction Case 5

Gender
Male
Age
38

Description

Gynecomastia, the development of abnormally large, female-looking breasts in males, affects as many as 1 out of every 3 men at some point in their lives. It can occur at any age, and is characterized by excess localized fat, overdevelopment of glandular tissue, or both, and can result from hormonal changes, hereditary conditions, disease, or certain medications. This condition can cause emotional discomfort and impair self-confidence, prompting many men to seek treatment through cosmetic surgery in Las Vegas.

This 38 year-old man from Henderson, Nevada was diagnosed with gynecomastia after his increasing chest size prompted him to find out more about his symptoms. In his consultation, I performed a thorough physical exam to ensure that the man was a good candidate for surgery. After discussing several possible options for minimal-incision male chest reduction, we decided together on one approach.

To minimize scarring, I use state-of-the-art approaches such as power-assisted and ultrasonic liposuction that allow me to sculpt a more masculine-looking chest without making incisions around the nipples or areolas. As this man’s post-operative photos clearly show, his chest has been significantly reduced and he is very happy with the results of his liposuction in Las Vegas.

Swelling and bruising are the body’s natural response to surgery, but the most recent liposuction techniques help keep these reactions to a minimum, so discomfort typically will fade in under a week. This man’s chest is already noticeably flatter, and he should continue to see slight improvements to his newly contoured chest as the healing process continues.
